By Narad Muni Gautam, Kathmandu, Mar.26: Prime Minister KP Sharma has said that he is working honestly for the welfare of the country and the people.
Saying that a large fuss is being made out of a small thing, PM Oli stressed the need for everyone to work together for the welfare of the country and the people.
PM said so in reference to dismissal of Kuman Ghising as DM of Nepal Electivity Authority (NEA) while addressing the book launch ceremony of a book written by former Deputy Prime Minister Sujata Koirala's autobiographical piece 'Ma Ra Mero Sano Buwa (Me & My Younger Father), ' at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday.
The PM said, "I do not delve into ideology rather, I look out for loyalty to country. Ideologies can be personal, but country is common. The ways and thoughts can be different, but the destination is the same: the country. It is about how to build a country. They are making a big fuss about small things. It has become making a mountain out of a molehill.
Full support of Nepali Congress to current government: President Deuba
Addressing the same program, former Prime Minister and President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has the full support of the Nepali Congress.
He mentioned that he and Prime Minister Oli have been friends since the time they were in prison together, and that they share a friendly spirit despite their political differences.
Describing former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala as a very combative, passionate and militant leader, President Deuba said that he had never seen a leader who was as relentless as him.
President Deuba said, "There were many ups and downs between Girija Babu and me. He expelled me from the party, I split the party, he said let's unite again, we did. He has also been a great support to me in becoming the party president of the Nepali Congress. He was a courageous and dynamic leader."
Former General Secretary of the Nepali Congress and Member of Parliament (MP) Dr Shashank Koirala, while discussing Girija Prasad Koirala as a skilled organizer, said, "He would ride a bicycle and walk around with a microphone in one hand, then return home after seven days. The liberalization that came to the country from 2048 to 2051 was due to his revolutionary thinking."
He stressed that economic growth is the golden period in Nepal's history, and Nepal is moving forward on that foundation. He was a tireless and unyielding leader.
