Chitwan, March 25: A truck driver has died when the truck he was driving fell into the Trishuli river. The deceased is Ram Narayan Yadav, around 35 years, from Sakhuwa, Rautahat, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.
Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Rabindra Khanal, said the truck (Ba Pra 03-001 Kha 4874) carrying coal veered off the road and plunged into the Trishuli river at Chaudha Kilo, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29, this morning. It was going towards Muglin from Narayangadh.
The truck driver and his assistant both were injured in the mishap and Yadav died while under treatment at Bharatpur Hospital at 8.30 am, DSP Khanal said. Helper of the truck, 19-year-old Asundra Kumar Yadav of Garuda Municipality-5, Rautahat has sustained injuries. He is undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College, police said. (RSS)
