Kavrepalanchowk, March 23: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ram Nath Adhikari, has said the incumbent government has no privilege to carry out activities against constitution.
At a programme organized to inaugurate a cold storage established by Sakriya Mahila Krishi Sahakari Sanstha and local agriculture products exhibition at Panauti in Kavrepalanchowk, Minister Adhikari expressed the belief that the incumbent government would not carryout activities against constitution as it has focused its attention for the welfare of the people.
He further said that problems seen in agriculture sector including market and promotion of agro products would be resolved in a planned manner.
Sharing that problems of dairy farmers are being resolved, the Agriculture Minister expressed commitment to identifying problems of other sectors and resolving them.
He added that a special programme would be brought to reduce use of pesticide in agro products and management of chemical fertilizer.
"Let us increase the use of biodegradable fertilizer. The government is preparing for the effective management of fertilizer for next year", Minister Adhikari argued.
Similarly, Nepali Congress central committee member Madhu Prasad Acharya stressed that priority should be given to farmers in course of making government's every plans and programmes, suggesting the government to resolve the problems of farmers including dairy farmers.
Likewise, Mayor of Panchkhal municipality, Mahesh Kharel, requested the government to bring relief programme for the farmers of Kavrepalanchowk.
Organisation Chairperson Sumitra Banjara laid emphasis on the need of necessary support and cooperation of the government in management of cold storage in local levels.(RSS)
