By TRN Online, Mar 22: Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Nepal Abdulla Al Shamsi has said that social unity and harmony are the foundations of building a strong society.
Welcoming the guests, including Minister for Youth and Sports Tejulal Chaudhary, at a Ramdhan Iftar Party organized in Kathmandu on Friday to mark the month of Ramdhan Ambassador Shamsi explained the UAE's efforts to maintain social harmony and tolerance.
Ambassador Shamsi said, “Social unity has been a priority for the UAE since its establishment on December 2, 1971. Only a strong and united society is capable of achieving humanitarian, national and international goals.”
He emphasized the need to further strengthen the role of social unity in the next half century to achieve the goals of the UAE Centennial 2071.
The ambassador said that the UAE has put forward various economic, educational, and political programs to strengthen relations not only within the nation but also within the international community.
He mentioned that a united society can solve problems and achieve prosperity through social, cultural and economic initiatives. He also expressed his best wishes for the acceptance of fasting and prayers during the month of Ramdhan.
