Not in race to be Prime Minister before 2027: Chairman Prachanda

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar 21: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has reiterated that he was not in the race to become Prime Minister till 2027.

The leader of the main opposition party in the parliament said so while speaking at the press meet organized by Press Center, Nepal, in Birgunj where Prachanda reached to participate in the Terai-Madhes Awareness Campaign being carried out by the CPN (Maoist Center).

He said that while in the government as the PM, he had initiated a war against corruption and laws were made for justice to the victims of loan sharks and efforts made to facilitate process to get citizenship for those youths who were having difficulties.

The leader of the main opposition blamed the present government for discouraging those performing well in different government agencies.

He said the awareness campaign was initiated to intensify party's closeness with the people so that their voices can be raised more loudly from the grassroots to the center.

Leader Prachanda informed that his party will soon start the mid-hill highway campaign similar to the one ongoing along postal highway in the southern plains.

In addition to the press meet, Prachanda also held discussions with the locals and also addressed the public gathering organized in different places.
