Bara, March 20: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' said on Thursday that foundation was formed for his party's better position in the upcoming general elections, even without forming an electoral alliance with other political parties.
During his party's ongoing political campaign along the Tarai-Madhes, the Maoist Centre Chairman argued that the recent political evidences have formed basis for the party's stronger position.
He was of the view that the Maoist Centre witnessed a loss in the past elections after forming alliance with the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) and added that his party would stand stronger without taking support from other political forces.
Prachanda said the recently held by-elections and the elections of the Free Student's Union in different campuses under the Tribhuvan University (TU) have confirmed the Maoist Centre's strength and public backing.
On the occasion, he said that the postal highway is the lifeline of Nepal's southern part and added that construction of bridges along different parts in the highway should be completed soon.
On a different note, Prachanda said that people should once again fight against the regressive and status quoist forces in defense of people's rights. (RSS)
