Gorkha, March 17: The ward office building of Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality-6, Ashrang in Gorkha district has been reconstructed.
Ward Chairperson Ranjan Rimal
informed that the ward office building which was ravaged by the destructive
earthquake of 25 April 2015 has been rebuilt.
He shared that the building was
reconstructed at a cost over Rs 8.86 million with the budget appropriated by
the rural municipality.
"The newly constructed
building has six rooms and two toilets", he said. Earlier, the ward had
been providing services from a building of local women's group in lack of its
own building.
The rural municipality had signed a
contract with Shiva Engineering Pvt Ltd in May 2023 for the construction of the
ward building.
"The work was completed by
extending the deadline for the second time", he said, adding that the
construction of the building has eased the delivery of public services. (RSS)
