Jhamak Ghimire honoured

By Our Correspondent,Hile, Feb. 25: Jhamak Ghimire has been honoured with the Koshi Excellence Award. 

The award, presented by Pradesh Khabar Dot Com, was distributed on Sunday at Jhamak Resident in Kachinde, Dhankuta-6. 

The award was handed over by Pawan Adhikari, the director of Pradesh Khabar Dot Com. Although the award ceremony was initially scheduled for February 19, Ghimire was unable to attend the event. 

Therefore, the award was personally delivered to her residence. 

 Along with the award, Ghimire was also provided with a cash support of Rs. 25,000. During the award distribution, Gopal Guragain, the president of the Jhamak Ghimire Literature and Art Foundation, Bidur Khawas, the president of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists, Dhankuta, and others shared their views about the honoured personality, Ghimire.

Despite her physical disabilities, Ghimire has written literature using her toes and has published dozens of works.

 Recently, she has been facing health issues and is undergoing treatment. 

She received the Madan Puraskar for her book Jiwan Kada Ki Phool.
