Three dozen bridges to be added on East-West highway

By Rabindra Uptreti, Bardibas, Feb 17: Bridge construction has been started at the east part of the East-West highway's Kamala-Dhalkebar-Pathalaiya road project.

Under the upgradation from Kamala of Dhanusha to Bagmati of Sarlahi 34 new bridges will be constructed across 74.75 Kilometers.

Out of which bridge construction has already been started over Bardibas's Ratu and Badhari rivulets. It has been said that other bridge construction is about to start.

According to Gauridanda's Kamala-Dhalkebar-Pathalaiya road project (East sector) Chief Chhabi Lal Paudel, new parallel bridges will be constructed beside old bridges in the East sector.

A total of 41 bridges are in operation in the sector.
