Manang, Feb 7: After no snowfall, foreign tourists have come to visit the mountainous district of Manang this winter. In January alone, 618 tourists from 46 countries visited Manang.
According to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) Manang office, the highest number of visitors during January was from neighboring China due to the public holidays for the Chinese New Year. A total of 199 tourists from China visited here this season.
ACAP Manang chief Dhak Bahadur Bhujel mentioned that 106 citizens from neighboring India also visited mountainous district.
Unlike previous years where there was little foreign tourist attendance in the off-season, this year shows an increasing trend bringing optimism to tourism entrepreneurs.(RSS)
