Nepalgunj (Banke), Jan 28: A
district office of land problems resolution commission has been set up in
Banke. Newly appointed district chairman of the commission, Ghana Nath Khanal,
assumed the office to take ahead the activities.
On the occasion, Chairman Khanal
said as many as 44,523 issues relating to land had surfaced in the district.
The commission will study these complaints seriously and seek measures for
solving problems, he added.
He further assured, "The
commission recommends government for the land ownership certificates after
comprehensive study." Chairman Khanal however sought cooperation from all
sides to resolve the issues.
According to him, employees from
the commission would reach all local levels after February 19.
The district office of the
commission was suggested forwarding activities in a way that pay heed to
problems facing landless Dalit, squatter dwellers and unorganized settlements.
Those to furnish suggestions ranged from the federal lawmakers to local rights
