Man dies in rhino attack in Chitwan

Chitwan, Jan 14: A 56-year-old man of Madi Municipality-3 in Chitwan district succumbed to rhino attack today.     

Chabilal Bote, a local of Madi, was fatally attacked by the wild animal while he had gone to the nearest forest to graze his buffaloes, according to the District Police Office (DPO), Chitwan.     

Chief of DPO, Chitwan, Gautam Mishra shared that the man died on the spot after rhino attack. The dead body has been brought to Bharatpur Hospital for post-mortem.     

Meanwhile, a local man has gone missing after he jumped off the suspension bridge at Devghat today.     

Madan Pariyar, originally from Lamjung district, disappeared as he jumped off the bridge to take a dip in the holy shrine-Devghat, on the occasion of Maghe Sankranti, police said.     

Search for the missing man is underway, police said.(RSS)
