Kathmandu, Jan.14: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has appealed to the Supreme Court saying that the verdict of the special court in the corruption case involving the defendant Shyam Kishore Rai has been unsatisfactory.
The special court ruled that the commission's decision regarding the misappropriation of government resources regarding the construction of the unfinished Ramjanaki temple located in Kabilasi Municipality -8 of Sarlahi was not in accordance with the law.
The commission appealed to the Supreme Court on Monday being unsatisfied by the Special Court order.
Similarly, the Commission appealed to the Supreme Court after being dissatisfied with the decision of the special court in the corruption case involving the defendant Sachin Kumar Bhadausawar. The Special Court gave a verdict on the case on April 7, 2024.
The Commission has been regularly appealing to the Supreme Court for the past few days stating the dissatisfaction over the decision of the special court.
According to CIAA Spokesperson Narahari Ghimire, the commission appealed against the three decisions made by the Special Court on Monday.
