Policy will increase use of AI

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 13: Communication and Information Technology Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that Nepal is lagging behind Nepal in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Speaking at the meeting of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee on Monday Minister Gurung said that the current government built a policy to operate AI since there was no policy to use AI earlier.

Minister Gurung added that after the passing of Policy and Strategy, the use of AI will be increased. 

"There is no policy to use AI. We have built an AI policy. Once AI policy and Strategy passes the use of AI will be increased. Till the moment we are lagging behind at last in the whole South Asia in the use of AI." 

Saying that the role of the Nagarik App to maintain good governance is important Minister Gurung stated the ministry has taken responsibility to operate Nagarik App.
