Kathmandu, Jan 10: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakashman Singh called for modernizing industries' management.
Addressing the fourth annual general meeting of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Kathmandu on Friday, DPM Shrestha expressed his concern over the underperformance of many industries, stating that the industries were not operating in Nepal as they should.
The DPM highlighted the need for modernizing the management to operate the industries in their full capacity.
Indicating to the exodus of youths seeking greener pastures for foreign employment, he said that a new narrative that 'the youths do not wish to stay in Nepal' was emerging.
Therefore, he stressed that all should work responsibly to end this brain drain issue.
Urging for a shift in attitude, he called for doing away with the tendency of raising voice for rights loudly and retreating when it comes to discharging the duties.(RSS)
