Karnali CM calls for implementing RTI

Karnali, Jan 10: The Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, has stressed the need to recognise and implement the citizens' Right to Information.     

During an interaction with spokespersons and information officers for province ministers and local levels held in Birendranagar of Surkhet today, the Chief Minister urged authorities concerned to respect the citizens' right to information guaranteed by the Constitution.     

Access to information allows citizens to identify 'weaknesses' in the governance system and also provides an opportunity for authorities to make necessary corrections, according to the Chief Minister.     

He claimed that the Karnali Province government has nothing to hide and remains committed to promoting good governance, transparency and preventing corruption. (RSS)
