By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Jan. 9: The pre-booking of the film Karsang, which is set to be released on Friday, has been opened.
The popular cinema chain QFX and a few other multiplexes have opened pre-booking for Karsang.
The QFX chain has provided 25 shows in its Kathmandu outlets and 28 shows in its out-of-valley halls.
Likewise, the second-biggest cinema chain, INI Cinemas, has allocated 15 shows in its three cinema halls in Kathmandu.
Fcube and BSR Movies have each provided six shows in their cinema halls for Karsang.
However, Big Movies and One Cinema have not opened pre-booking.
Written and directed by Yam Sherpa, the film revolves around a village backdrop and focuses on family and social drama.
The 2-hour-and-5-minute film poignantly highlights the poverty, backwardness and culture of the Sherpa community, said director Sherpa.
Artists including Dayahang Rai, Srijana Ningleku, Jitu Nepal, Deeya Maskey, Buddhi Tamang and others have acted in the film.
Presented by Yarsa Films and Purushottam Pradhan Films, the cinematography of the film is done by Pradhan himself.
Meanwhile, with the presence of the film’s actors and guests representing various sectors, the premiere of the film was held at Big Movies in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
