By Sher Bahadur Sarki,Bajura, Dec. 6: The weekly examinations have led to notable improvements in the teaching-learning activities at Toli Dewaldanda Secondary School in Bajura.
The students improved their studies when the school started conducting the examination every week. Bishnu Prasad Ojha, Principal of the school said that sample examinations conducted every weekend make students confident and significantly improve their studies.
The examinations were being conducted every three months, six months and 12 months previously. Eliza Saud, a student in grade 10, said that she used to read only during the examination. However, after the school started conducting examinations every week she has been changing her reading habits and continuing her studies.

In general, the majority of students have exam-oriented reading habits that often lead to poor performance, said school teachers.
To improve this behavior the school has been conducting weekly examinations, said head teacher Ojha. As a result, students have transformed their reading behavior as the school conducts the examination every Saturday.
According to teachers, Toli Dewaldanda School is the first ever in the district to conduct an examination every Saturday.
