Kathmandu, Jan 1: The government has decided to mark as the National Anti-Money Laundering Day on Magh 14 every year.     

Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, who is also the Spokesperson of the government, said it while sharing information on government decisions. The Cabinet meeting was held yesterday.     

Similarly, the government has decided to issue an order prohibiting strikes in the essential services and publish the notice relating to it in Nepal gazette.     

Additional Inspector General of Nepal Police, Tek Bahadur Tamang, is transferred to Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari from the Crime Investigation Department of Nepal Police Headquarters, according to Minister Gurung. The government also gave pre-approval to conduct Organization and Management Survey of the Office of Attorney General and its subordinates.     

The Cabinet approved the Prime Minister National Talent Award Fund Establishment and Management (1st amendment) Work Procedure, 2081. Public-private partnership model would be adopted for development and operation of Panchkhal Special Economic Zone where the private sector would create infrastructures in the land provided by the government.     

A visit of 13-member delegation led by Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari to the Philippines is given approval by the government. The face-to-face meeting is scheduled from January 12 to 15.     

The Cabinet meeting decided to appoint Chhatra Bahadur Katuwal from Bajura district as the Executive Director of Special Economic Zone Authority.     

The government has given permission to use 2,718 square feet land of District Coordination Committee, Kailali, located at Dhangadhi sub-metropolis-1 to Dhangadhi sub-metropolis, Kailali, for the establishment of Local Emergency Operation Centre.     

An approval has been given to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructures and Transport to construct a 800-meter road at Sallisalla-Simikot section along Hilsa-Simikot road, while a bailey bridge at Chuwa rivulet by the Nepali Army.     

The Cabinet decided to appoint Dhurba Acharya from Rupandehi district to the post of Vice-Chairperson of the National Sports Council.     

Minister Gurung said the government decided to pass Drinking Water and Sanitation Regulations, 2081. The Cabinet meeting allowed tabling the bill designed to amend and integrate laws relating to export and import and bill designed to establish and operate National Forensic Lab in the federal parliament.     

Similarly, the meeting took the decision to approve Disaster Sensitive Social Security and Relief Distribution Standard, 2081; Energy Development Roadmap, 2081; and Commerce Policy, 2081.(RSS)
