Woman killed in elephant attack

By Hari Prasad Koirala,Urlabari,Dec.31: A 60-year-old Chandrakala Limbu of Sundar Haraicha Municipality-5 of Morang district was killed by a wild elephant.

According to ward chair of Sundar Haraicha Municipality-5 Ganesh Chaudhary, Chandrakala had gone to collect firewood in forest on Monday.

The locals found the dead body of Chandrakala, who failed to be located since Monday, around 6 AM on Tuesday on the bank of a creek. 

Police inspector of the area police office, Belbari, Krishna Khatri said that preparations are underway to send the body to hospital for post-mortem.

The 40-year-old Gangamaya Magar (Shrestha) of the same municipality was killed by an elephant attack on December 20.
