Kathmandu, Dec 30: The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) has decided to hold an international conference named 'In Sight Live Nepal' in Kathmandu coming May. The conference will be held on May 9-11, 2025.
The representatives of IAPB working
in the sector of blindness eradication and eye health will attend the event.
The members of IAPB are international charities, Eye Hospitals, educational and
commercial institutions.
Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, Nepal Eye
Hospital, Tilganga Eye Institute and BP Eye Foundation are the members of IAPB
in Nepal.
The last IAPB conference was held
in Mexico early this year.
Chief of IAPB South East Asia,
Yuddha Dhwoj Sapkota, informed that as many as 500 representatives from 100
countries will attend the event being organized in Nepal.
Similarly, Executive Director at
Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, Dr Shailesh Kumar Mishra, informed that the event
would focus on necessary strategies and plans to be put in place for health eye
till 2030.(RSS)
