Lalitpur, Dec 26: The fifth Annual Nepal AI School (ANAIS) will be kicking off in Lalitpur tomorrow, Friday.
The 12-day programme to be organised by the Nepal Applied Mathematics and Informatics Institute (NAMI) will focus on the foundations for AI and its implementation, according to NAMI education outreach chief Alok Khatri.
The event aims to bring together scientists, researchers, and professors from across the world to Nepal, serving a platform for sharing and discussing cutting-edge technological advances in AI among both veteran and young researchers, according to the organiser.
"This programme incorporates principles and methodologies from basic to advanced, their content and use. Two hundred students of Bachelor's, Master and PhD level in Computer Science as well as people working in the field of AI can participate in the programme," Khatri said.
Twenty-five scientists and professors from across the world will present various aspects and concepts of AI in the programme to be organized at the Premier International School, Khumaltar, Lalitpur.
Founder Director of NAMI and researcher Bishesh Khanal said that NAMI has been carrying out works dedicating to research and development since around the last eight years. He added that they have been working in the field of AI with the goal of promoting technology and knowledge capable of contributing to the quality life and fulfilling the needs of humankind.
