Kathmandu, Dec 22: The Madheshi Commission has urged the police administration to take action against those involved in misbehaving with supporters of Janakpur Bolts after the Nepal Premier League's final match between the Janakpur Bolts and the Sudurpaschim Royals on Saturday.
The Commission has urged the Nepal Police Headquarters to identify the responsible for the offence that took place at the Tribhuvan University's cricket ground in Kirtipur and bring them under the purview of the law.
The Commission's attention has been drawn to such incidents capable of jeopardizing social harmony if the State and the police administration did not act sensitively against this, it is said.
Commission's Chair Dr Vijay Kumar Datta has said that it has been decided to form a high-level team led by Commission member Jiwachha Shah to carry out a field inspection and visit those injured in the incident to take a further move regarding the incident. (RSS)
