Chitwan, Dec.20: The Naubise-Muglin section of the Prithvi Highway along the Prithvi Highway will be partially closed for a week starting from December 22.
The road will be closed for three hours a day from December 22 until December 28, as the rock wall of Pokhrebhir and Bishaltar of that road section has to be cut and upgraded in a bend.
According to the Divisional Engineer of the western section of the Nagdhunga –Mugling road project Bijay Rai, the construction work is being started from 11 AM till 2 PM by stopping the commute of vehicles.
He said that heavy vehicles entering Gajuri from Naubise will be stopped at Galchi-Baireni and light vehicles will be stopped at Jarekhet, while heavy vehicles entering Naubise from Chitwan would be stopped at Chalise and light vehicles at Ghatbesi in course of improving Pokharebhir.
Similarly, heavy vehicles entering Malekhu from Muglin would be stationed at Majhimtar and light vehicles at Charaudi bazaar while heavy vehicles entering Muglin from Malekhu at Benighat bazaar and light vehicles at Bishaltar in course of improving Bishaltar turning, he added.
He said that emergency vehicles, ambulances, and vehicles of security agencies will be allowed to pass through during this period. (Translated from RSS)
