Famers of Sarlahi receive 55 metal plows

By Janarjan Khatri,Sarlahi,Dec.18: The ward office of Murtiya, Barahathwa Municipality-9 of Sarlahi District has distributed ploughs to the local farmers. 

The ward office distributed in full subsidy the farm tool in view of making it easy for farmers to loosen or turn the soil before sowing seed or planting corn. The farmers of the Murtiya area plant corn commercially. 

 Ward chair of Barhathwa 9, Tulsi Luuitel, said that a total of 55 iron plows have been distributed free of charge to farmers who cultivate corn this year. 

1000 households in Murtiya are farmers.

He said that farmers are urged to use the distributed 55 paris of plow distributed turn alternately. 

According to him, the plow distribution work will be continued in the coming years as well. 

Since it takes more than 10 people to loosen and prepare the soil for a corn plantation in one bigha of corn farm, the work can be done by two people in one day with an iron plow.
