Mahout injured in elephant attack

By Anil Parajuli, Hetauda,Dec.19: Mahout has sustained injuries after being attacked by an elephant attack.

25-year-old mahout Manish Chaudhary of Haripur Municipality-9, Sarlahi District, received injuries after being attacked by an elephant that is being raised in a sabuj battalion post of Nepali Army stationed for giving security to the Parsa National Park. 

According to the Bagmati Province Police Office, Hetauda, on Wednesday afternoon, the elephant suddenly hit Mahout with its suds while the Mahout was feeding him grain and water. Mahout has received injuries in his body and ears and is currently undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur. 

According to the police, the elephant is currently constrained in its habitat.
