NPL Qualifier 1: Janakpur posts 140-run target for Sudur Paschim

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec 18: Janakpur Bolts posted a target of 140 runs for Sudur Paschim Royals in the First Qualifier match of Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Wednesday at Kirtipur.

After winning the toss Janakpur chose to bat first where it scored 139 runs in the stipulated 20 overs in 9 wickets.

To score a medium total Janakpur's James Neesham hit 45, Shubh Kansakar 26,  Lahiru Milantha 12, Harsh Thaker 12,  Aasif Sheikh and Arniko Yadav scored 11 runs each, Aakash Tripathi 4, Sher Malla 3, Mohammad Mohsin 3 and Kishore Mahato hit 2 runs.

Sudur Paschim's bowler Dipendra Singh Airee took three wickets alone whereas Saif Zaib took two wickets. Scott Kuggeleijn and Abinash Bohara took a single wicket each. 

The winner of this Qualifier 1 match will be directly selected for the Final whereas the loser will fight at Qualifier 2 to enter the Final match.
