By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 18: An art exhibition titled ‘Inclusive Art Exhibition’  has begun in Kathmandu.

Organised on the occasion of the 33rd International Day of Persons with Disabilities by the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), the four-day exhibition was inaugurated by Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens, Nawal Kishor Sah Sudi on Tuesday.

Highlighting the need for transferring knowledge, traditions, styles, and craftsmanship to the younger generation, Minister Sah stated that such exhibitions contribute to the intergenerational transfer of art.

The minister further emphasised that the exhibition holds particular importance in the context of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. “It highlights not only the artistic creations of individuals with diverse abilities and provides opportunities for them but also fosters collaboration, friendship, social solidarity, and a sense of responsibility through artwork created by non-disabled individuals,” said the Minister.

Chancellor of NAFA, Narad Mani Hartamchhali, said that the programme was organised as a campaign for social transformation. He opined that art is a medium that encompasses all sectors and disciplines of society as a form of humanity.
