Jyapu Day celebration ( photo feature)

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec 15: Jyapu Day has been celebrated with great elation today in Kathmandu.

Jyapu Day is marked on the day of Yomari Punhi, an auspicious day for the Newar community.

A cultural rally was taken out from Batutol in coordination of the 21^st Jyapu Day celebration committee of Natheshwar Chhut Guthi of Batutol. The event was inaugurated by deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolis, Sunita Dangol.

The rally converged into a formal ceremony at Basantapur, which was organized by Jyapu Cultural Development Trust.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli graced the ceremony as the chief guest where Deputy PM and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh was also present.
