Kathmandu beats Pokhara by 6 wickets in NPL

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec 14: Kathmandu Gurkhas defeat Pokhara Avengers by 6 wickets in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Saturday at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.

Kathmandu achieved the target of 139 runs posted by Pokhara in 14.1 overs with a loss of 4 wickets making 142 runs.

To achieve the target, Kathmandu's Stephen Eskinazi hit a half-century, making 60 runs. Similarly, Michael Levitt scored 32 runs, Gerhard Erasmus 25, Bhim Sharki 22, and Karan KC and Rashid Khan scored a single run each.

Pokhara's bowlers Bipin Khatri took 3 wickets alone and Michael Leask took a single wicket.

Earlier, in the first inning, Pokhara managed a total of 138 runs in 8 wickets with the help of Raymon Reifer's 41 runs, Dinesh Kharel's 38, Dilip Nath's 27, Aakarshit Gomel's 8, Kushal Bhurtel's 7, Bipin Khatri's 4 and Michael Leask and Sagar Dhakal's one run each. 

Kathmandu bowlers Karan KC and Rashid Khan took 3 wickets each, and Gerhard Erasmus and Michael Levitt took one wicket each.
