Man held with more than 29,000 USD in Jhapa

Kathmandu, Dec.13: Police have arrested Mohammad Naushad Miya in possession of 29, 700 US dollars from Jhapa. 

According to Police, in a check at the East-West highway along Kerkha Chowk of Kamal Rural municipality-2, on 2 PM on Thursday, Police seized $ 29,700 from 25-year-old Mohammad Naushad Miya who was traveling in a bus (Province 1 -01-001 Kha 9530) en route from Damak to Birtamod. Miya is a resident of Jhapa Gauradaha-5, Jhapa district. 

297 bundles of 100 US dollars (Rs. 4,033,854 according to the Nepali exchange rate) making a total of US dollar 29,700 were found and recovered according to the law.

It has been seized according to the law and further investigation is underway from the Area Police office, Damak.
