Chand of NC wins Bhimdatta -6

Kathmandu, Dec.2 Prakash Chand of Nepali Congress has won the by-election held for the post of ward chair of Bhimdatta Municipality-6 Kanchanpur.     

According to the Election Commission, Chand secured 1,107 votes while her nearest rival, CPN (UML) candidate Bahadur Chand secured 487 votes. Likewise, Jitendra Bahadur Chand of CPN (Unified Socialist) secured 225 votes, Rastriya Swantatra Party's candidate Ramdutta Bhatta secured 218 votes. 

The independent candidate Thaneshwor Lekhak received 142 votes. (Translated from RSS)
