Local level by-election as an awareness campaign for good governance: Chairman Prachanda

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov 28: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that his party has taken the local level by-election as an awareness campaign for good governance.

Former Prime Minister Prachanda also said that the government under his leadership had done works proud to be in history.

He said so while addressing an election rally in Kirtipur Municipality today.

In the local level by-election of Kritipur, CPN (Maoist Center) has fielded Prof. Dr. Shiva Sharan Maharjan as the candidate of mayor.

“I feel proud now about what we did while in the government,” said Prachanda, complaining that he was removed from the post in an undemocratic and unconstitutional manner.

Chairman Prachanda who is also the leader of the  main opposition party said the opposition parties would call for special session of the parliament if their warnings to the government were ignored.
