Nepalgunj, Nov 28: After the children involved in delinquencies began escaping the child correction centre repeatedly, the District Security Committee here has suggested timely improvement of the legal system related to the child correction centre.
In the meeting of the security committee held on Wednesday, the committee said the criminal activities were on rise because adult child delinquents were kept together.
The meeting presided over by Chief District Officer of Banke Khagendra Prasad Rijal decided to recommend departmental action in case of the escape of three child delinquents on November 11. He said that security personnel were in trouble due to provisions as they were not allowed to carry arms and uniforms in child correction centres.
Meanwhile, the District Police Office said that nine of the 12 child delinquents escaped the correction home. The three who escaped earlier have not been found yet. (RSS)
