Scope of social security will be expanded: PM Oli

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov. 26: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced that the government will expand the scope of the social security.

Addressing a ceremony organized by the Social Security Fund to mark the 7th Social Security Day today, Prime Minister Oli said that after 90 days from today, children of the contributors to the social security fund will also get benefits while the contributors will get 50 per cent of total medical treatment in case when their treatment cost exceeds Rs. 100 thousand.

The PM said the government will be responsible and accountable to the provision of fundamental rights as enshrined in the constitution and to make the country modern, developed and prosperous.

On the occasion, PM Oli felicitated different individuals and organisations providing maximum contributors and services under the Fund.


Social security was initiated as a campaign six years ago when PM Oli was leading the government.
