By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct 27: A leader of Nepali Congress Bimalendra Nidhi has viewed that conspiracy is being hatched to privatize Janakpur cigarette factory.

It is currently known for Madhesh-Pradesh Bhavan of the Madhesh Provincial government.

During an interaction with media in Janakpurdham airport today, leader Nidhi said, “I had moved the process to bring it under the authority of Province when I was Home Minister and at that time the cigarettee factory was brought under the authority of district administration office, Dhanusa”.

It is against federal set up and not only an objectionable work, argued leader Nidhi, saying he has heard of the government process to privatize the Factory.

Referring to his talks with federal minister for Industry, he said that he was informed that there was only process to renew the license but not to privatize.

"Janakpur Cigarette Factory is the property of the Madhes Province, and if there is any plot to privatize it, we will protest because it will go against federalism," said leader Nidhi.  (translated from RSS Nepali news)
