Kathmandu, Oct. 20: The central secretariat meeting of the CPN (UML) held on Sunday has decided to seek clarification from three leaders for giving statements against the party decision concerning the construction of the party central office building.

CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel confirmed that today's meeting has decided to seek clarification from the leaders for sharing their views against the party's decision regarding the building construction.

According to the UML General Secretary, the clarification was sought from party's former Vice-Chairman Bhim Rawal, Standing Committee Member Binda Pandey and Central Committee Member Usha Kiran Timilsina for their public statements against the party decision.

Asked about the arrest of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane, Pokhrel said that the report of the government-formed parliamentary committee on misappropriation in the cooperative organizations was sent to the concerned body for its implementation and Lamichhane should cooperate with the government agencies in the investigation process.

"The party's view is clear. The decision should be in line with the investigation," he added.

Likewise, when asked about the land donation to the UML for its building construction, Pokhrel said there was no conflict of interest and that the assistance provided to the UML should be construed naturally.(RSS)
