'Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi' reflects Gandharva culture

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Oct. 19: The trailer of ‘Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi’, which is going to be released on October 31, has recently been unveiled. 

The trailer shows how the Gandharva community strives to preserve their age-old culture of playing the sarangi and passing it down to the younger generation. 

Alongside the theme of cultural preservation, the trailer poignantly presents their hardships, love, separation, and struggles with education.

It reflects the difficulties the Gandharva community faces due to their identity.

 Directed and written by Saroj Poudel, the film features Bijay Baral, Mukund Bhusal, Anjana Baraili and Prakash Saput. 

The cast also includes Buddhi Tamang, Maotse Gurung, Desh Bhakta Khanal, Bhola Raj Sapkota, Binod Neupane, Alisha Bastola, Swayam KC and Jaanbi Poudel.

Produced by Seven Seas Cinema and Baasuri Films, the film’s producers are Binod Poudel and Patrick Subedi, with Ramesh Chaulagain, Hari Shrestha, and Ramesh Dhakal serving as executive producers. 

According to producer Poudel, Purna Bahadurko Sarangi focuses on the life and social issues of the Gandharva community, highlighting a socially significant narrative.

 Actor Bijay Baral, previously known for his comedic and side roles, is the lead actor in this film.

The dialogues are written by Mahesh Dawadi, with Binod Poudel and Patrick Subedi as producers.
