Incumbent government works for nation, people: Spokesperson Gurung

Lamjung, Oct 12: Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung has said the government is working to deliver in the interests of the nation and citizens.     

In his address to the Dashain reception at Taxar of Kwholasothar rural municipality on Saturday, the Minister said infrastructure development, education, health, agriculture, employment, and tourism promotions are the current priorities of the government.     

 Minister Gurung expressed his concern over the increasing rural-urban migration, which has led to depopulated villages and a growing size of uncultivated land.     

He stated that the government is taking initiatives to address these issues and discourage both rural-urban migration and emigration from the country.     

The Minister also claimed that Gandaki Province is leading in development compared to other provinces. He has been in his hometown Taxar for the past few days.(RSS)
