Tourism sector key to economy: Acting PM Singh

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept 27: Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, has said that the share of tourism sector in economy has been significant.

Speaking at a function organised on the occasion of world tourism day by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation today the acting PM said, "The tourism sector has larger share to add in the economy. There is a need to do more for the growth of this sector so that its share in GDP (Gross Domestic Product) gets multiplied". He added, "The government will come forward to remove challenges it has been facing . The government will create conducive environment to amplify the business".    

Acting PM Singh viewed there is a need to invest in the potential of adventurous tourism, trekking, mountaineering, skydiving. He assured that government will stand firmly and assist the private sector doing business in tourism sector.
