Sudurpashim, Sept 25: General Secretary of the ruling CPN (UML), Shankar Pokhrel, has said social site contents targeting Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli when he is abroad are condemnable. "Such activities are against the interests of the nation."
Speaking at a press meet organized by the Press Chautari Nepal at Dhangadhi of Kailali today, the UML general secretary said there was no protest demonstration against the Prime Minister in the United States of America and his visit is going successfully.
"The US intellectual community is eager to interact with the Prime Minister."
Pokhrel added that 'attempts' to prevent an investigation against the cooperative fraud charge facing the President of Rastriya Swatantra Party is a mockery of the rule of law.
"Those talking about the good governance should unconditionally support the procedures for the investigation of the charge," he said.
The leader further claimed that the two parties in the parliament: the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) decided to form the existing coalition government as they wished to steer democracy towards a track. "We desire to review a decade-implementation of the Constitution, exploring strong and weak aspects of it."
With the formation of the incumbent government, business communities are encouraged, an indication of economic improvement has been seen, entry of foreign investment has begun and the investment-friendly atmosphere has been enabled. (RSS)
