Ramayan Resonance: Celebrating a Shared Heritage on display

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 24: An art exhibition titled ‘Ramayan Resonance: Celebrating a Shared Heritage’ began at the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) on Monday. 

The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Embassy of India, Kathmandu, and the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) jointly organised the exhibition.

 The exhibition was jointly inaugurated by Badri Pandey, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Narad Mani Hartamchhali, Chancellor of NAFA,  Naveen Srivastava, Indian Ambassador to Nepal and others. 

The exhibition showcases five artworks by four Nepali artists and 42 artworks by 30 Indian artists.

The exhibition highlights the profound impact of the Ramayan on cultural and artistic expression in the Indian subcontinent.

 It showcases diverse artworks, ranging from contemporary to traditional art forms, illustrating the heroism and devotion depicted in the Hindu scripture Ramayan.

 Gargi Seth is the curator of the exhibition. The exhibition will continue until September 30.
