Gorkhapatra executive Chair Subedi honours with ‘leading journalist honour’

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept 22 Executive Chairperson of Gorkhaptra Sanathan, Bishnu Prasad Subedi has been honoured with by ‘Leading Journalist Honour’ award by President Ram Chanda Paudel.

 The award is presented in the occasion of 55th anniversary of Press Council Nepal organized at the president’s residence sital niwas on Sunday. 

Subedi has been awarded among the office bearers of the government’s media for his contribution in journalism for a span of two decades in addition to his crucial role in transforming gorkhapatra into digital friendly news portal and making gorkhapatra self-reliant and professional institution. 

Subedi has completed his Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) in Journalism and Mass Communication from Tribhuvan University. He has also been awarded for investigative journalism against corruption from Communication for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority and Transparency International in the past. 

He was also honoured with ‘Excellent Youth Journalist Prize’.  

Subedi had began ‘Smart Journey’ of gorkhapatra sansthan by brining necessary changes for digitalizing gorkhapatra to withstand in competitive market.

There is growth in income of gorkhapatra sansthan under the leadership of Subedi.
