Twenty-six boxes of fire crackers seized

Dhulikhel (Kavrepalanchok), Nov 22: Police have confiscated 26 boxes of firecrackers from Kavrevanjyang in ward no. 9 of Dhulikhel Municipality. The seizure was made from a truck (Na. 5 Kha. 7179) travelling along the BP highway.    

The truck travelling from Siraha to Kathmandu and was intercepted during a routine check on Saturday evening.    

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Shrestha of the District Police Office, different kinds of firecrackers, supposedly targeted for the upcoming festivals, were recovered from the truck. However, the truck driver managed to flee, leaving the truck loaded with firecrackers behind.    
Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said. (RSS)
