Light to moderate rainfall likely today

Kathmandu, Sept 22: The weather is currently partly cloudy to mostly cloudy in the hilly region, and partly cloudy in the remaining parts of the country. Furthermore, light rain with thunder and lightning is taking place at one or two places in Karnali province.    

This is due to the influence of Monsoon winds still active across the country, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. This afternoon, the weather will be partly to generally

cloudy in Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, and mostly clear in the remaining provinces. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and some places in the hilly parts of the remaining provinces.    

Similarly, tonight, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in Karnali province and one or two places in the hilly parts of the rest of the provinces.    

In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and in the hilly region of the rest of the provinces. (RSS)
