Use of technology inevitable to build prosperous nation: PM Oli

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept.17: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the role of the science and technology sector will be monumental to achieve the national aspiration of 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali.

In the congratulatory message on the occasion of the 12th National Science Day, PM Oli stressed the need to reawaken our tradition of scientific discovery in the world of science. 

PM Oli said, "We can attest to the evidence of how the Eastern philosophy has inculcated scientific research hundreds of years ago in our scriptures and texts. Our education system was dynamic and science-promoting in incident times, however, over time we were not able to develop it in our original way. The epoch-making principles of science were included in our education, education system, and fundamental tradition even in the age when the rest of the world was not exposed to the light of knowledge. We were already ahead in the fields of astronomy, geography, medicine, and biology. Now, we have to reawaken our tradition of scientific discovery."
