Play a role in instilling people's trust in democracy: President Paudel

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept.17: President Ramchandra Paudel has lauded the role of the community radio for the establishment of the federal republic, human rights, rule of law, and social transformation. 

Felicitating the newly elected officials of the Association of Community Radio Broadcasters Nepal (ACORAB) in the program organized at the Office of The President Shital Niwas today, President Paudel said, "The role of radio was just like a friend in need in extremities such as earthquake, COVID-19, for that I want to felicitate you all." 

The role of community radio has been significant in disseminating information among denizens and protecting their freedom of expression. 

He expressed the belief that community radio will more significant role in the coming days in creating an unrestricted use of the press and freedom of expression and instilling the trust of people in democracy by disseminating factual information to the public by overcoming the challenge of having the possibility of publishing the false and misleading information while running in the race of making a headline.
