Kathmandu, Sept. 8: A delegation of the CPN (UML) leaders from Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta Purba) district has drawn the attention of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to change the name of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta Purba).
The delegation also asked the PM about the development endeavors of the district.
The central committee members of the CPN (UML) from the district, the Gandaki province minister from the district and the CPN (UML) district committee chairperson submitted a memorandum to the PM on Sunday by visiting the PM at his official residence in Baluwatar.
The leaders have asked the PM to name the district as Nawalpur, continue the mining of the iron ore in Dhaubadi and construct the Triveni-Dumkibas road, postal highway and model headquarters. The demands include the operation of the Triveni Customs as well.
In response, the PM pledged to pay attention to the development works by considering the bearing capacity of the country's economy.
PM Oli also urged the members of the delegation to contribute on their behalf for productivity growth and safeguarding democracy.(RSS)
