'Government responsible for addressing educational issues'

Kathmandu, Sept 5: Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Bidya Bhattarai, has said that it is the top priority of the government to address issues existing in the educational sector. 

Addressing the 43rd-anniversary celebrations of the Dillibazar Kanya Multiple College here today, the Minister said the government is committed to finding solutions to problems in the education sector.     

She further asserted that it is one of the major responsibilities of the State to educate its citizens.     

The Minister promised to recognize submissions and feedback for improving the education system received from the intellectual community. She thought that the government should not intervene in the Universities' autonomy.     

On the occasion, Chair of Campus Board of Directors Dr Rudra Sharma said the college provides free education to girls under its social responsibility while campus Chief Aprajita Aryal said presently over 800 female students are enrolled on the campus. (RSS)
