Hunger strike over bridge construction called off

Mahendranagar (Dhanusha), Aug 24: Youths, who were on fast-onto-death demanding construction of a bridge over the Kamala river have broken their fast.

The bridge to be built falls on the border between Dhanusha and Siraha districts under the Postal Highway.     

After reaching a four-point agreement, Chief Minister of Madhes, Satish Kumar Singh broke the fast by serving juice to the protesting youths on Friday.     

 The Madhes government has reached an agreement with the youths to build a new bridge over the Kamala river.(RSS)
